The 13th Delhi CG Animation Awards (DCGAA) 2026, organized by MAAC South-ex, MAAC Rajouri Garden, MAAC Pitampura, and MAAC Preet Vihar, concluded on a grand note at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Bringing together more than 2,500 students, educators, creative professionals, industry leaders, and policymakers, the event emerged as one of the largest celebrations of India's rapidly growing AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality) ecosystem in the Delhi NCR region.
The annual awards have evolved into a prestigious platform that recognizes outstanding student talent while strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and government. This year's edition highlighted how India's creative education sector is preparing the next generation of professionals to meet the increasing global demand for digital content and immersive technologies.
One of the major highlights of DCGAA 2026 was the showcase of nearly 90 original student-created projects, including brand films, animated shorts, VFX sequences, gaming concepts, digital design projects, and AI-assisted creative works.
